Removal of existing patio and installation of a new 600 sq ft Goshen Stone Patio, Goshen Stone walls and plantings.
The owners of this home wanted a patio behind their house, but were concerned about working around the existing bulkhead. After seeing photographs of some other patios we had built with similar situations, they decided to contact us.
We designed and installed a beautiful outdoor living space behind this home using large pieces of Goshen Stone flagging for the patio. The sitting wall surrounding the patio is constructed of dry stacked Goshen stone and is capped with Goshen stone as well. We also installed a Goshen stone retaining wall along the driveway and a stepping stone path leading from the driveway to the patio in the back yard. A few stairs were built into the wall, as shown in the photograph above. This allows access from the brick apron in front of the garage, down onto the lawn area below.
In addition to the stonework, we also designed and installed plantings through the yard on this property. Some existing plant material was retained with additional trees shrubs and ground cover added to finish off the look of the yard. The homeowners can now sit on their patio, and look out onto their beautiful backyard garden. Flowering shrubs and perennials were used to provide an ever changing scene as the season progresses.
